They're handmade by us in our studio located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. A portion of sales are donated to various no-kill animal shelters.
The products are highly fragranced but not overpowering.
Only essential oils are used in our 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner bars.
We use a combination of essential oils and clean, non-toxic fragrance oils in our soap and soy candle collection. Our soap collection is skin-safe. We do have a couple of unscented options as far as soap goes: balancing hemp facial bar & plain jane. We also offer a variety of essential oil-only-scented soap throughout the year.
The clean, non-toxic fragrances we use (in combination with essential oils) in our soap and soy candles are rigorously tested, do not contain any parabens or phthalates, are compliant with Proposition 65 requirements, and adhere to all Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) and International Fragrance Association (IFRA)standards. The supplier we carefully curate our clean, non-toxic fragrance oils from has third parties rigorously test the fragrance to ensure it meets or exceeds those standards. Please know that we are committed to safety, sustainability, and performance in all our products.
There are five main “hazard groups” that we simply don't allow in our products (and fragrance).
✖ Carcinogens: These are materials known or thought to cause cancer.
✖ Mutagens: Materials that change the DNA of a cell, harming the cell and causing diseases like cancer.
✖ Reproductive toxins: Toxins that adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects.
✖ Organ toxins: These are toxins that can cause adverse effects or disease within specific bodily organs.
✖ Acute toxins: Toxins that can cause adverse effects from a single exposure. Generally, this would be accidental exposure like spillage or ingestion.
In addition, all of our products (soap and soy candles) are vegan and animal cruelty-free.
To properly care for your handcrafted soap, please allow it to dry between uses, use a soap dish or soap saver, and store out of the direct spray of shower water. This way, your soap will last much longer. We recommend you use our products within 6-12 months for the best results.
Please keep in mind that even though our products are made with non-toxic ingredients, some people may still experience skin sensitivities. Oils such as sweet almond or pistachio may cause reactions in people who are allergic to nuts. We recommend you do a skin patch test with new products.
To care for our candles, trim the candle’s wick to 1/4” before or after every burn session and allow the candle to burn for 3-4 hour intervals, or until a full melt pool has formed. Never burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Yes! They can also be repurposed in tons of different ways. As of now, we don’t have a recycling program.
