We are committed to sourcing materials and ingredients of the highest quality. We choose to use 100% soy wax that is grown and manufactured in the USA because it is a renewable resource and burns cleanly. 

There are a lot of wax options on the market. It may be confusing as a consumer to understand what the benefits of a certain wax are.

Most candles today that you find on store shelves are made of paraffin wax. The toxins released from paraffin candles are the same as those found in diesel fuel fumes and are linked to asthma and lung cancer. Paraffin is a petroleum waste product and has to be deodorized and chemically bleached before it can be made into wax.  

Soy candles are better for you and for the environment. Soy wax is non-toxic and burns cleaner than paraffin, as it doesn't release any petro soot. Soy candles burn slower and cooler than paraffin wax, giving them a longer life-span than paraffin candles. Since soybeans are vegetables, soy wax is naturally biodegradable, making it easier to remove from the candle container after burning, easier to clean up if spilled on other surfaces, and comes out of clothing in the wash.

All our candles have  ECO wicks. They are made from natural flat cotton threads interwoven with paper threads. This type of wick performs better than 100% cotton, as it ensures you will have a consistent flame and an even burn. ECO wicks are lead and zinc free. 

When we started Cayman & Company, we actually didn't like scented candles. Most fragranced products would give us instant migraines. So when developing and curating fragrances for our products we made sure it was the highest quality of materials we could find. We only use non-toxic, phthalate-free fragrance oils, blended with essential oils and natural isolates. All our products are free of Prop 65 chemicals. 

Our unique bar soap recipes are filled with a gorgeous blend of vegan butter and oils, giving our soaps their luxuriously rich lather, leaving your skin feeling nourished and moisturized. We use only clean additives such as non-toxic fragrances and pure essential oils, as well as handpicked herbs. All our products are free from harmful chemicals, toxins, synthetic colorants, and preservatives!
